My husband of 12 yrs simply said “I’ll keep it sweet and simple. I don’t want to be marry anymore” and he left. Later I found emails showing his gradual online involvement with a high school girlfriend and their discussion of him leaving. I was praying God would soften his heart and we could still salvage marriage. Now in my pain, I pray he finds his way back to God. It is hard to reach out to my Christian friends as I think about the children my husband and I taught in Sunday school, the activities we were involved in. I hurt as somewhere in last 2yrs I placed my husband first and God second. I am simply loss.

Venita, I understand about finding the e-mails. That’s how I learned about my ex-wife’s plans to leave me. It hurts to see how someone you trusted could betray you — the only positive is it allows you a glimpse into what they were thinking. You will be in my prayers as are the other people who post on this blog. God has a new plan for all of us who are hurting from divorce and separation. Peace be with you.
