Please pray for my marriage. My husband walked out when I was four months pregnant. I’ve taken everyones advice: gotten a lawyer, moved in with my folks in Utah(We lived in New York) and am cashing in my 401k to pay off my debts. My sister wants me to ask for sole custody. Yet, all I want is to move back to New York and take the chances of reconciling with my husband. He keeps saying he doesn’t want to reconcile, but I just felt like if I moved back, he’d visit me for the baby’s sake, which would give me a chance. He says he’s divorcing me because he feels my faith in God means I’m crazy. Should I just do what my family says, give up, and try to take sole custody, or should I hope and try to work with my husband and move back to New York so he could visit the baby more often? Please pray for me. I just want my husband back. Pray for his salvation, his sobriety, and our marriage to reconcile.

Kathleen, I understand your desire to work things out but it sounds like your husband doesn’t want to, at least not yet. I am fearful that you will leave a loving environment with your family and be very disappointed in New York. Keep praying for your husband to come around and take it slow.
