I was separated in 2001 and finally divorced in 2007 after 16 years of marriage. I’m praising God because I get happier and stronger every year–what the enemy meant for evil, the Lord has turned to good!
What I need prayer about is just the feeling of isolation and different-ness I have in church because of being divorced. I wonder if people look at me doubtfully or feel awkward towards me.

Deb, that is the enemy messing with you. People should not be judging you and remember that divorce among Christians is just as high as divorce among non-christians. It is a big club out there.
Don’t let your fear of what others may be thinking get in your way.
Jason is right. We are all the same more or less in divorce. We are felt like you do now. People never in divorce always think we that suffer in one are the problem people. they just don’t know.
You hold your head up high! Some of us can’t can’t stay together. You will be just fine. Take one day at a time. God will bless you.

Deb. You may take some comfort in the fact that your husband will go thru a period of extreme guilt especially if he is a christian. If you can stay in contact with him and sense this that is your opportunity to show him subtly what a mistake h is making..God hates divorce under any circumstances and can heal any problem no matter how bad. Pray, pray, pray and contact him to tell him you are praying for hiis blessing and that you trust God will show him the truth and that you will be there for him..God bless you
