Words of Hope from Mark

HOPE! My prayer request is that my story provides hope to those in a midst of a divorce. 10 years ago I found my wife with another man. She left and filed for divorce. I found Christ and prayed for her. A month before court I told God that she was His problem and I fully submitted. Two weeks before court she came home. Thereafter she accepted Christ and was baptised. Fast forward to April, 2009. Our marriage had died and we had squandered that miracle God performed 10 years ago. She again left and filed for divorce. Over the past 10 months I made a point to speak to her only concerning the kids. During this time I looked to make myself as as Christ like as possible. I read God’s word, had devotions, and prayed every day. I asked for God to renew the spirit of my mine and cleanse my heart. I asked for faith and the ability to be obedient. I prayed for God to bless my wife and to touch her heart. I had three other major trials during this period. I was crushed like a grape in a wine press by the heavy hand of God as he forced me to remove the sin I had practiced out of my life. GOD ANSWERS PRAYER. During this trial my 11 year old son came to Christ. My 20 year old daughter, through her own trial, came to Christ. And I am happy to say that I received a text from my wife asking to meet this past week. She wants to come home. She misses God, her family, and “if she is to be with a man the rest of her life” she wants it to be with me. There is much more to this story than I can detail here. I just say, wherever you are, submit to Christ, make Him your first love, ask Him for strength and faith. In His time He will provide you all this and more. Endure and be patient.
