1 Corinthians 7:10-11

“To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband. 11But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife.”

The above verse talks about separation in a marriage, however, I don’t believe it is in the context that applies to the situation you are in. Ultimately you have biblical grounds for divorce so even if you divorce your spouse you commit no sin. By choosing to separate it sounds like you may want to try and work things out or take time to try and figure out what your next step is, yet you need the space and time to do so. It may even be necessary to send a message to your spouse that his behavior is unacceptable and he needs to straighten up.
