Lights, Camera and Action

in Featured, Life After Divorce

Not long ago I was sitting in the middle of a grass field, grateful that the rain had stopped for a day, feeling the warmth of the sun beating down on me and enjoying a Sheryl Crow concert (thought she would be taller). As the night progressed I came to the realization my life was actually back on track and there was a normalcy about it, I was having fun and I was smiling!

I am sure life has been treating me well for some time now but I guess with all the “to dos” I really had not noticed just how happy I was. It was this moment that penetrated the stress and daily distractions which made me realize I am doing “A” okay.

We all have a part to play in this life; sometimes we are the villain, the victim and even the hero (depending who you ask). Point being God has a plan for us and we have a choice on how we live our lives. Living in perfection is out of the question but we can live a joy-filled life, even after divorce. However, I discovered that without taking the time to slow down, relax and enjoy myself I might have missed the fact that I am happy.

Like in the movies life is full of re-takes and with each one we learn and get better. I guess the take away from this post is that each day you get on that stage and live life you will eventually move from the broken, hurt person to a victorious, joy-filled one. It might even happen gradually as to where one day you are sitting under the great blue sky and it dawns on you that God is good, life is good and you have grown and overcome so much. It is important to take things off auto pilot and conduct a reality check; you may find you are doing pretty darn good yourself.

Wah! I want to be where you are in the recovery!
:) Kinda kidding.. just kinda.
So Blessed to hear though that there is a light at the end of this tunnel!!!
Thank you for sharing. I will keep the light that is peaking and calling to me in sight.. And maybe soon write a message that sounds a lot like yours… Maybe.. No, I will. Get that image into my mind and make it so.
Grateful for your continued messages!
