I have been married for 15 years all of which not following the lord. As a result of not having god in my marriage my family is going to be divorcing. I am having a real struggle with this.

Ken, the great thing about God is as long as you are breathing it is never too late to fix that relationship. Who knows what He has in store for you but in the end everything will work to His glory and there is always hope.

ditto Jasons comment with this add-on. Don’t walk away from the marriage until you have exhausted all avenues of reconciliation…God can indeed heal your relationship. I firmly believe that had I not divorced my wife, had I stayed and done the things i am doing now– growing in God’s word, growing as a human being, seeking forgiveness for my sins, leading my family– that i would be married and actively doing these same things with her… as God intended. No matter how bleak it looks, please keep the communication going..or start it NOW. Divorce really stinks…seek God, don’t give up.
Ken, ditto to Jason and Michael’s comments. If there is still hope for reconciliation do all you can. This divorce process is painful and one I do not recommend if it can be avoided. I feel the same about not having God in my life and my 14 1/2 year marriage (18 year relationship) as you do. There always seemed to be a void in my marriage and I am now starting to realize that void was God! I am seeing mistakes that were made and regret so many things and wish I would have seen them sooner and saved my marriage. SAVE your marriage if you can, save your family!
